Music vs dopamine levels
In a recent experiment in my class we learned how listening to music that "pumps you up", your brain releases dopamine into your brain and the way we checked this was timing how fast we could count to ten before and after listening to music. Most of the time I got slower but here and there I would get faster at counting. I had fun doing this experiment and I recommend everybody try it.

Sentenial woods day 2
On my second visit to sentenial woods I noticed that the trees were a little wetter than my last visit and that somebody had stepped on one of the small ferns while I was gone and now it lays injured and broken on the ground below it. Aside from that, somebody had been throwing knives at the tree trunk that was snapped in a storm. The knife marks are clearly visible and obviously the result of someone's anger being vented on a harmless tree. I will keep you all posted on how well the tree recovers. :)
Terrarium post 2
I have not noticed very much growth in my terrarium but I have noticed that the sand and soil are starting to settle and compact into a thin layer of each. It is very easy to distinguish between the different layers of soil and sand. I will be adding pictures soon, hope you like them.

While
I was at sentenial woods in Burlington I noticed that there were a lot
of birds chirping and branches crackling all around me. Also I noticed
that the forest floor around me was a little damp and the trees that
fell as a result of an amazing storm not too long ago were not just
laying on the forest floor, but shattered all over. Everywhere you step
you step on pieces of trees that had become shrapnel. There were also
small ferns growing out of a fallen log. The air smelled musty/mucky,
and the moist aroma of the stream running by, filled the air. If you
were to visit my spot, you wouldn't be able to keep yourself from
looking around in amazement at the beautiful sights, sounds, and feeling
you would experience. But don't take my word for it, go there and see
it for yourself and you'll understand. I will keep my posters updated
every time I visit my spot and post all of the changes I notice.
